Another Honour for Margaret Busby OBE

Margaret Busby, long time friend and supporter of the George Padmore Institute and New Beacon Books was honoured on Friday September 25th 2015 by House of Amau at The Guildhall in London. 

The 'UK Heritage High Achievers Recognition Award'  was presented to Margaret for her work as a pioneer in publishing as well as her contribution to editing, journalism and writing in the United Kingdom.

As Editorial Director of the London-based publishing house Allison & Busby Ltd which she co-founded in the 1960s, Margaret oversaw the publication of authors including Ralph De Boissiere, Sam Greenlee, C.L.R. James and George Lamming. The GPI and New Beacon Books congratulate Margaret Busby on this most recent award and thank her for her unswerving support over many years.
